Navigating the World of IT.
My Journey Through an IT Course..
After a gap of about 4-5 years, I started another course, which was on digital skills offered by an IT center E-women. Here, we explored everything using a Gmail account. We practically applied every lecture we had, and I gained a good understanding of the IT field. Before this, my interaction with computers was limited to basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint. I'm happy to say that what we learned here is equivalent to what a university might teach in 4 years. We explored Google Sites, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc., which I had no prior knowledge of.
We explored many apps. We learned graphic design from Canva. We created various things like CV, student cards, business cards, mugs, wedding invitation cards, T-shirt designs, and packets designs ourselves. We learned how different marketplaces work by posting items on OLX.com
We've created accounts on various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. We've learned to create AI-generated videos and mastered video editing using apps like Filmora. We've set up a Fiverr account and gigs, and we've contributed as local guides on Google Maps to generate points. I don't recall anyone suggesting that we conduct our SWOT Analysis, but our mentor, Sir Ali Murtza, guided us through it.
We've also worked on database management, learning how to add contacts to Google. We've been trained in WhatsApp as well. This summarizes the basics; now we're moving on to web development and e-commerce courses, with hopes of learning even more.
Internship opportunities are also being provided to help us specialize in our chosen fields. A heartfelt thank you to Sir Ali Murtza and his entire team.
